Project Description
Enjoy Coffee Company is a queer-owned, Black women-owned online coffee business that delivers indulgent and impact-driven coffee roasts so you can embrace joy daily through a cup of freshly roasted, small batch coffee. Our team consists of myself, Brandy and my wife Michelle.
We believe enjoying life is about basking in the moments that matter to us as people; the experiences that make us smile, help us grow, & bring us joy. But in a world that has taught us that ‘rising & grinding’ through life is more important than actually living it, even our morning cup of coffee has been framed as a means to get more done and rush through life.
As creative entrepreneurs on a mission to leave the hustle-centered life behind, my wife and I saw the value of disrupting this narrative in the male-dominated coffee industry to highlight the daily coffee routine as a true experience and an opportunity to slow down. We founded Enjoy coffee company to inspire others to live a life rooted in ease, reflection, and joy.
While we believe all of us deserve to live a life we truly enjoy, the truth is not everyone has access to this reality. In recognizing this inequity & experiencing it first hand throughout our careers, we decided to take our passion past the cup to directly support marginalized communities in achieving economic justice. For every bag of coffee that we sell, 5% of our profits are redistributed to a scholarship initiative aimed to help Black, Latinx, and Indigenous women of color in the creative arts community who often face funding inequities that prevent them from creating work they love while also being able to experience a joy centered life.
We are seeking funding to help expand our reach to local and regional retailers by taking advantage of broader marketing and advertising opportunities. With these funds, we would be able to put efforts towards paid partnerships and collaborations, as well as participate in local and regional pop-ups. Additionally, we’d be able to hire women of color in the arts to help with photography and videography.

Is our coffee Fair Trade?
Yes, our coffee is fairly traded.
Where do our coffee beans come from?
Our beans are sourced from various countries. The roasts we currently offer come from South and Central America (Colombia, Brazil and Guatemala). We also have amazing beans that come from the mother land of coffee - Ethiopia.
How do we give back to the community?
We have an amazing scholarship initiative geared towards women of color in the creative arts community. Both Enjoy Coffee founders come from creative backgrounds and understand the hardships of not having available funding. That's why, with every bag of coffee sold, 5% go into a fund for creative women of color.
What will this funding do for Enjoy Coffee?
Marketing and advertising are extremely important in getting others to know about our product, so we plan to contribute funds to this area of the business through paid marketing. We also aim to hire women of color in photography and videography to take our products to the next level. Additional funding will allow us to participate in more sampling, allowing more customers and vendors to try our product.
