Emerald Butterfly provides entomology curations, small bites, coffee and tea services to customers from all around the city and nation in order to bring awareness to nature's pollinators. Our services include hand crafted coffee and tea, small pastries such as cookies, brownies and other small delicacies, along with curating ethically sourced wellness products, crystals and entomology displays. These services provide a fun and relaxing environment to observe nature to otherwise less accessible parts of the world. While also supporting local economies and ethical farms around the world to encourage the preservation of the species in their natural environments.  

 

Future of the Company 

A fun and casual space creating natural accessibility, local job growth, and encouraging the preservation and conservation of butterfly specimens around the world in hopes of partnering with conservationists. Emerald Butterfly also hopes to collaborate with other related artists for showcasing their art, hosting future workshops for the community, hosting pop up vendors for collaboration and engaging in environmental awareness for endangered entomology. 

Industry 

Emerald Butterfly will join the taxidermy, entomology, women owned and coffee business industry. Generally, larger café and storefronts, such as Starbucks or Dunkin Donut, work with international corporations while smaller cafes work with both large corporations and smaller organizations, usually closer to home. Cafe storefronts structured like ours also have a history of working with local, state, and federal regulations to provide a legal yet home like feel making it a more welcoming experience. As consumer spending increases for the taxidermy community at an annualized rate of 1.8% over the last five years, demand for industry services remained elevated. Accordingly, industry revenue is expected to increase at an annualized rate of 2.1% to reach $766.0 million + for this year alone. On the café side of things, the global coffee market was valued at USD 102.02 billion in 2020, and it is projected to reach a CAGR of 4.28% during the forecast period of 2021-2026. 

How to Sell 

Currently, the only person in charge of sales for Emerald Butterfly is the business owner, Savannah Carnes. As profits increase, Emerald Butterfly will look to add an employee to assist with account management/coordination. Additionally, we will hire an individual who will also provide company social media and online marketing support. The company will increase awareness to our targeted customers through online advertising, proactive public relations campaigns, and attending trade shows.
