Project Description

  • What is the mission of your company or project?

Our Mission is to provide opportunities for Minority and low income men and women in  community to be given the opportunity to achieve their goals. It is imperative for them to receive quality education and training that will allow them to jump start their education, career and earning potential in their field of choice.  Many of our students have longed for the chance to acquire an education that will allow them to enter the healthcare field, but sometime life gets in the way.

We have built an educational model that has considered the day-to-day struggle and responsibility of the working parent and student. We want all our students to succeed. Our students are trained with online learning tools and instruction, practical hands-on experience, and classroom academic discipline. This is to ensure that our students have the necessary skills and knowledge to be successful in the classroom and in the workforce.

Our goal is to be able to offer our program nationally with emphasis in low poverty areas where I also experienced the hardships of seeking my education many years ago such as Dallas, DFW Metroplex, Compton CA, and Woodbine NJ.

My Motto is “Don’t wait to be proud of yourself once you reach your goals. Be proud of yourself for taking that first step towards them. Sometimes we get so consumed in conquering the War that we forget about all the battles we won to prepare us for our ultimate achievement. Walk in your purpose and the sky is the limit”

  • Describe the problem you are solving.

Growing up we often moved, Three states in total New Jersey, California, and Texas. All the communities I lived in were considered below poverty level and I lacked a stable support system in my home. All the areas had several common denominators: lack of access to affordable education and training with a flexible schedules to accommodate students, low-income families and working adults to further their education. Many people in our community had financial hardships, work schedule conflicts, family or household responsibilities, lack of childcare, no support system, teen pregnancy, High school drop outs and barriers that would ultimately prevent them from achieving their goals.

This was also a personal hardship for me being a minority, woman, single mother and not having the resources or knowledge to reach my full potential many years ago. Many people suffer the same barriers even today. Our program will allow the working adult, Individuals who were unable to go to college, recent High school graduates, High school dropouts, Single parents, Minorites and low-income families to gain access to their education without the stress of scheduling and lack of affordability.

It is my goal to provide flexibility and affordability to our students to not have to choose between their education and providing for themselves and their family. In the past year, the coronavirus pandemic has caused schools and businesses nationwide to close and reinforce their current models. This has also forced students, teachers, and educational training facilities to transition to virtual learning. Our Hybrid programs offer our prospective students access to online and in-person instruction and assignments.  Program length is drastically shorter than traditional programs and cost is at a fraction. Our model is driven towards the idea that no one should have to go in debt to better their lives.

  • What is the market size/opportunity?

The market size and opportunity for training programs such as ours provides opportunity for the student and business. According to the global education market, due to covid-19 pandemic there is a projected drive in the medical education market. Increase in demand for online education, assessment & testing and rise in the need of interactive media for quality education are factors fueling the growth of the global medical education market. Online medical education is a high-growth market. It is a win win for the student and our business.

  • What is your company/product about and how does it solve the problem?

Absolute CPR and Allied Health Training DBA Absolute Allied Health Academy is a Minority Women Owned Business. We provide the community with access to healthcare programs that will allow prospective students the opportunity to enter the healthcare field and advance in their current healthcare role. We offer Hybrid Programs and workshops for the following: Medical Assistant, Nurse Assistant, Phlebotomy, IV Therapy, EKG Basics, Advance Cardiac Life Support, Basic Life Support, Oxygen Administration, Clinical Laboratory Procedures and Onsite Clinical Practice. By offering our current model, we are helping tremendously with the barriers that prevent minorities, low-income individuals, healthcare shortage and unemployment rate. In 2018, healthcare became the largest employer in the U.S. and had a projected demand of approximately 500,000 new health care workers by 2024. Currently, Healthcare shortages have skyrocketed related to the Covid-19 pandemic. Growth will continue even after the surge of the demand of the COVID-19 pandemic. The office of distance and extending learning projects, with our aging population we may see the creation of as many as 154,900 new medical assistant jobs and 137,800 new nursing assistant jobs, by 2028. Our program will allow our prospective students the ability to reach their goals in accommodating fashion while boosting and helping the healthcare shortage and unemployment rate in our communities.

$ 8,000 will help cover cost by way of scholarships/ grants for prospective students who enroll in either program or workshop sessions to launch their educational journey in our program. With Covid-19 wiping out our primary source of income and ability to function at our full capacity.
