Dream Hair

Making women feel beautiful and confident is my mission in life. How better to accomplish this than by transforming their mane. Giving hair a glowing, healthy and stylish look.

I have always been passionate about hair from a little girl. As a teenager, I worked as an apprentice at a local hair salon where I learnt to ply my skills. I continued practicing by doing the hair of family and friends for free. At 20yrs of age, I would like to now operate my very own professional hair salon. The covid19 lockdown taught me that there are many women who prefer to have their hair done from the comfort of their homes. Not just as a result of the pandemic but also because of the convenience. Hence, my idea is to start off as a mobile hair salon and eventually adding a store front for those customers who prefer the store experience. The concept of a mobile salon is also more cost efficient as it eliminates rental costs for premises.

Because I am young and have only worked for free to improve my skills, I do not have the funds to start up my business. I require capital to purchase professional equipment, i.e hairdryer, hot iron, mobile chair, protective gear, combs, as well as styling products-hair colour pallets, shampoo and conditioners, gels, oils and hair treatments. In addition to this I need funds to cover costs for a one month hair  course to get accreditation.

The mobile salon will be owner managed. I will take on the role of administrator and hairdresser. I will employ a professional hair stylist to assist with hair cutting and coloring.
