As an African American woman with very sensitive and combination (Oily/Dry) skin, I've always created my own face care at home because everything else caused breakouts. As I've gone through life, people always ask how I manage to keep my skin so clear, especially with wearing makeup. I was humbled, every single time, and then the light bulb came on and I decided to share my regimes with others. As of now, I’m spending days inside of my own kitchen blending products together while I save to have my actual products formulated. I make a facecare kit with 5 items and I use all natural and organic products. I give many away as gifts, just as a show of good faith for the future of my company, which also means that I’m not making as much profit as I need. It’s also a unisex brand, as I want men to understand the importance of good facial care, as well. The biggest trial will be branding and convincing others to use a NEW product on their skin, without knowing exactly how it will affect them. I’m hoping to provide the results of my formulations, as soon as possible. I will only give true and accurate results of my products.

I’ve contacted a turn key blending company that is ready to research and develop my formula for a coffee scrub that can be used on the body as well as the face, and a dark spot fixer, which is to help combat hyperpigmentation and brighten the skin overall. The costs are about $5k+ per product on each side of the spectrum, to develop and then to manufacture. I would use the money to get both of my products formulated to perfection and then manufactured/Labeled/Shipped out in bulk.  As I build my brand, I’d like to use the same company to create more products. I’m currently working on the perfect logo and website and I’m almost done with those aspects. I will then start the process of branding for the new company and I will also use the money to trademark my brand. There are so many other ways that I plan to incorporate into my brand building, such as photography services to make sure the photos are perfect for the website, social media services as the company that is working on my logo can also create professional social media covers/headers/designs/etc.. I’d also need to have the same company create print ads and I will run ads in the best places that I can find to reach as many people as possible. Lastly, I’d like to rent a suite to be able to sell my products, in a pop-up shop manner to get the community more familiar with my brand.
