Covenstead HQ Art Mural - The Carnival

Mother Crowe's Covenstead™️ is a hub for ultimate creative expression.  Art and collaborations are the lifeblood of our community.  We are thrilled to be able to offer you a chance to be a part of this epic piece of history!

We will be adding a permanent handpainted mural for public enjoyment to our home/company headquarters within our historic neighborhood in the city of York, Pennsylvania.  We are bringing in a talented pair of artists from the Midwest who have been able to perfectly embody the aesthetic we are looking for.  A gorgeous dark vintage carnival will add a whimsical feel to the city that houses America's first fair just blocks away from our mural location.

Creating a public mural is a large financial undertaking and investment, and that is where we need your help.  The more of you that chip in, the more we all benefit from this piece of art and the imagination it will spark for our community members.  Despite our neighborhood being considered historic, it is incredibly run down.  It is our hope that this mural will bring a splash of color and a lot of enjoyment to the families and residents that call The Avenues home.

Costs for installing a public art mural are pretty massive.  The following is a basic breakdown of our costs:

• $6,477 - this amount will cover most of our costs, including the salary for a two artist team, transportation for our artists, and the cost of high quality professional materials to ensure the longevity and proper care of this artwork for many years to come.
• $2,031 - this amount will cover 11 nights at a local hotel to keep our artists comfortable while they work.
• Any additional money collected will go towards keeping our artists well fed and to Mother Crowe for her endless work in managing and coordinating all aspects of this project.
