Project Description
- What is the mission of your project? The broader mission to protect the integrity of elections by creating and developing the Count The Vote APP to serve as a non-partisan check on partisan political operatives and keep everyone honest. In other words, to confirm the accuracy of each Americans' ballot. The the mission of my project is to create a solution that will respond to allegations of voter fraud and suppression in American elections by making the Count the Votes app available at the fingertips of American voters. Creating an APP that will allow every American voter to look at their voting record as well as voting results in real time would help restore calm, peace, and trust in the voting.
- Describe the problem you are solving: Imagine, if we had the Count the Vote App right now! During this very chaotic time in American history? Voters would be able to open their app, sign in, and looked at election results in real time in the resident state where they voted, state by state, or from around the country in every state. Of the 150 Million Americans who voted this year (2020), nearly half believe their vote may have been suppressed or not properly counted. A part of the distrust comes from corrupt politicians spreading propaganda and misinformation; another part of the distrust comes from reports of evidence of foreign interference in our elections; and finally, another part of the distrust comes from traditional and social media outlets that confuse American citizens and voters. The app would provide real time data analytics of all of the votes. American voters will be able to see their individual vote to make sure that it is accurately confirms for whom they voted, how they voted, where, when and on what issues they voted. Moreover, the Count the Vote APP will allow American Voters/Subscribers to see votes in a specified state as well as around the country.
- What is the market size/opportunity? This app will be located in the Google App Store, Free, and readily available at the fingertips of Americans voters. Every American citizen with a cellphone and access to the Google App Store could download and use the Count the Vote App. Also, over 150 million American voters will be able to immediately see and confirm how he or she voted and whether their vote was counted and counted properly.
- What is your company/product about and how does it solve the problem? My product is the Count the Vote App. I will work with App designers to develop and design it to collect and organize public VOTING results and election data in real time and make it digestible and meaningful to the American citizens. The reports from the Count the Votes App will be non-partisan and will not eliminate partisanship, spin and propaganda. It will be just the data; just the facts.
- Why are you seeking funding and how will you spend the funding? I am seeking funding because I want to get the Count the Vote App software developed, marketed, and available immediately. The time to get it ready and available is NOW! Americans will be able to see REAL Election results and have their ballot results at their fingertips. Also, I want ALL Americans to be able to use the Count the Vote App to follow election results during the hotly contested Georgia Senate runoff. This race will serve as a test pilot to measure the citizens confidence in what they see in real time as opposed to the media and partisan politicians. It is my goal to have the Count the Votes APP developed and available immediately. The initial foundational infrastructure is just the tip of the iceberg of my idea. I envision the Count the Votes APP serving as a very important tool that will be used immediately respond to issues related to voter equity, expansion, and protection; in addition to counting votes here in America, and other democracies.
- Who is on your team? Currently, I am the team! I have share my idea with a close colleague, Harry Davis, who has a connection with a tech company who can create the Count the Vote App for me. They can support it and continue to improve upon it for me.

A - I am an African-American female political scientist who still believes in the ideals of a democratic republic and how importantly valuable every vote is to electing a diverse group of representatives who will work for the American people.
Q - Why is this technology needed?
A - The Count the Vote App is needed to restore trust in the American political process. All Americans will be able to look at elections results in real-time. More importantly, American voters will be able to track their ballot to ensure their vote was counted and accurately recorded.
