Project Description
- The mission of this campaign is to fund the groundbreaking documentary "Consequence".
- Consequence will focus on several aspects of child suicide. Those who have attempted suicide as a child, the precursors and after affects. The impacts to families of children who have committed or attempted to commit suicide. Mental health, religion and pharmaceutical influences.
- This documentary will shed light on the "Consequence" of our actions and inactions regarding child suicide-both successful and unsuccessful.
- Child suicide is one of the least publicly discussed events across the globe. As a child, the creator and director, Claresa Baggs attempted suicide on numerous occasions and the emotional affects influence her into adulthood.
- According to a 2017 CNN report, child suicide averages 1 every 17 days. This of course does not include the number of attempted suicides.
- We are seeking funding to cover the cost of crew staffing, research, marketing, pre and post production.
