Comfort Eats sells pre-packaged American snacks to people around the world, particularly expats who are missing a little taste of home.

Chances are you have either moved away from home or know someone who has. And even though living abroad is an amazing adventure, at times it can be a bit lonely and stressful being so far away from all the people and things that you grew up with. 

Not only can it make you feel connected to your home and loved ones, but it can also help you build the resolve to thrive in your new environment, and that's why we built Comfort Eats! Not only to provide that comfort but to also build a community of people that know personally what your experience might be.

Whether you are missing Twinkies, Cool Ranch Doritos or just Marshmallows so that you can make some ooey gooey s'mores... We got you!

I know what you're thinking... snacks? Really? 

YES! REALLY! 

One of the things that we heard a lot early on from early customers is that

• There are so many things that they can't get locally.
• It's so expensive for families to send care packages. International shipping can easily cost HUNDREDS of dollars and not to mention having to deal with Customs and Duties. 
• Subscription services don't allow you to purchase the items that YOU want! This is about providing a little comfort for you right? Why aren't you able to tell them what you miss the most...

So Comfort Eats wants to change the game, we make comfort super easy and accessible. Not only does our site allow people to pay in their local currency, so you don't have to deal with pesky currency conversion, but we have affordable shipping so anyone anywhere can take advantage. 

We have some classic snack items like Oreos but are always adding new products to the store to bring you the latest and greatest.

We THRIVE on feedback, so we want to hear from you! We feel like we are co-creating this experience with all of you, and we want you to be there every step of the way. We know that together, we can build an amazing company. 

My best friend, Reina, moved to New Zealand with her husband a few years ago to follow their dreams for working for the movies. 

I've been crazy lucky to be able to visit her a few times in the past few years, each time packing 60% of my suitcase with all her favorite snacks.

Seeing the joy that suitcase full of snacks brought her and her husband was just THE. BEST. And even though she was far away from her family, the snacks reminded her of the amazing times that she had with her loved ones and made her homesickness just a little more bearable.

On my LONG flight home, ya'll I took 5 flights and literally had 24hrs to think, I realized that Reina wasn't the only one fighting this homesick fight! There were millions out there living the same struggle. And then I remembered when I tried to send her a care package her first year in New Zealand, and I couldn't find a service that would just send her the snacks SHE wanted. I realized there had to be a better way, and then next thing you know ... here we are. 

Comfort Eats was born out of love, and we want to share that with the world.

It's for everyone! 

There are 9 million Americans living outside of the US and that includes everyone from students in a Study Abroad program, to employees working in international offices for 1-2 years and people on Volunteer expeditions.

What's even more interesting, there are 244 million migrants in the world!

Which means there are soooooo many more taste buds that we need to send a little comfort to, and we want to start today.

We are seeking funding so that we can begin to grow our tribe and reach all the taste buds. Reina and I have a vision of bringing comfort to every taste bud, regardless of where you grew up and where you are now. This raise will set us on that path, by allowing us to 

• Set up a relationship with a distributor to source more products
• Purchase inventory so our products are always available
• And set up a warehouse to store that inventory
• Invest in Marketing to penetrate the top 10 countries for Expats!

We have bootstrapped Comfort Eats this far, but we need your help in order to grow and take things to the next level.
