Changing How Stylist Style Hair

• What is the mission of your company or project?  J&J Temple Innovations, LLC (JJTI) wants to change how stylists; and lovers of hair, style hair by using an innovative patented hair styling tool.  In addition, be the trendsetting for best beauty tool to use in the beauty industry.

• Describe the problem you are solving.  When stylists style hair, there is a constant changing of hands when combing hair, as well as gripping and dropping the comb.  When students attend cosmetology school, during the test if the comb is dropped, they could potentially fail their exam.  In addition, there are times when anyone is combing their hair, after several times of placing the comb down and picking it up, it becomes lost to the sight.  With the RollerComb tool, it is always on your hand.

• What is the market size/opportunity? There are vast opportunities! Stylists from all levels can use the RollerComb, cosmetology students, salons, hospitals (plastic and metal) and, for now, consumers.  To take it in the future, pet grooming shops, wig factories, and fur coat factories.  Anything with hair can use the RollerComb.

• What is your company/product about and how does it solve the problem? The innovativehair-styling tool that enables hairstylists to style, color curl, braid, and cut hair without ever releasing the tool. Lightweight and sleek, the tool’s patented circular opening grips and stays on the finger, just below the knuckle. During use, the RollerComb^™ effortlessly rotates clockwise or counterclockwise, on the right hand or left. Its “wearable” functionality empowers the stylist to pick up and use other beauty tools at the same time, which saves them time and effort.

The RollerComb^™ frees the hairstylist to be more creative, which supports additional customers and extra tips. Value is further enhanced by the tool’s quality, durability, and interchangeable rotational parts that do not require electricity or batteries.

Hairstylists also appreciate that, unlike regular combs, the RollerComb^™ cannot be dropped and contaminated since it never leaves the finger provided the right size is used during styling the hair.

Three positions provide flexible use. In the first position, the tool sits comfortably on the finger as the stylist uses it to style, part or gather hair. In the second position, the tool drops into a vertical position to allow other hair styling tool(s) to be used. In the 3^rd position the other tools are laid down, the RollerComb^™ rotates back to its original position, and the process repeats until the hair is completely styled. 

The complete RollerComb^™ set includes (1) body, (4) picks, (10) rings, (1) storage bag and (1) size-appropriate magnifying glass. Sets will be sold in select retail outlets for universal use in salons and homes.

JJTI is looking to partner and establish an initiative to pilot a program using the RollerComb™.  JJTI genuinely believes in its product and know that this styling tool is a trend setter.

• Why are you seeking funding and how will you spend the funding? The money will be spent on marketing through online sales, purchasing booths and tools at beauty expos, traveling expenses, pay hired help and pay manufacture for 3 modifications to the RollerComb.
