Raising funds to support Gratitude For Black Girls 3rd annual Black Women's History Month event.
Project Description
Created in 2019, Gratitude For Black Girls celebrates Black women and aims to inspire Black Girls. What began as a one-time event has organically evolved into a safe space and platform for Black Women and Girls to feel seen, heard, and appreciated. We want to expand on that, and that will take a village.
Every April, in honor of Black Women's History Month, we host an event celebrating the influence and innovation of Black women. Reimagined due to COVID-19, the event, now called THIS IS FOR US, is a fully interactive virtual experience.
Change is scary but necessary, and to expand our reach nationwide, we're looking for support from our community. A fully-funded event allows us to build out our virtual event platform, give away $2,000 worth in grants and scholarships, and offer elements of the event free to the public.
Any additional funds raised will go towards our community fund and will be distributed to Black Women in need of additional resources.
