Bohemian Collective _ The All-inclusive Relaunch

Our purpose is to advocate for self-expression by encouraging experimentation through an inclusive and versatile range of clothing and accessories.

Our goal is to become one of the leading sustainable lifestyle companies from South Africa to have a global footprint. We aspire to carry a reputation in the market as a company that designs and delivers high-quality products that are truly inclusive and offer great returns due to our products' trans-seasonal nature. 

The size issue is further exacerbated by certain brands catering to a limited size curve and side-lining the rest. People mostly affected by the size issue are those who are super tall, petite or creating life. left with either ill-fitting clothes, having to constantly alter the clothing they buy or even worse just not finding a size from the brands they like due to their body type. 

Bohemian Collective is for people who are tired of the lack of options available in mainstream stores and not having access to the clothes they like because of their body type. We aim to offer proportionally graded garments to fit and flatter all body types. The construction of our garments is primarily influenced by comfort, so most pieces are loose-fitting and true to fit. 

The short-term goal is to hire 3 new people that will support the growth and ease the load. Planned hires. 

• 1x Business Operations Assistant: This role will support through-the-line business operations from range conceptualisation to post-production quality checks, assisting with planning for and during shoots, putting together lookbooks, social media calendar management etc. 
• 2x Sewing Technicians: This role will be responsible for the production and finishing of garments in our new studio. 

Aside from our own online store, to date, we have managed to get listings with 2 brick and mortar boutiques, one of which is well-known for local designers and they have stores in all the major cities in SA, as well as a listing on an online platform that stocks brands that support a sustainable lifestyle.  We have a few other wholesaling and consignment opportunities on our radar.

As a brand quality workmanship and consistency are very important and one of our biggest challenges has been finding a manufacturer that can consistently deliver every season, as such we have moved around a few times and have come to the point where the need for our own studio is unavoidable.

A fully funded crowdfunding campaign will allow us to capitalise on the sales growth opportunities that are currently on our radar, and set up our new studio which will afford us the freedom to experiment and fine-tune our height and width inclusive size grading. This will help drive overall growth and awareness for the brand and ultimately bring us that much closer to our goal of growing beyond clothing to become an all-inclusive lifestyle brand.
