BLK BY AMINA

BLK. (pronounced black) by Amina is a brand by the Nigerian-American creative, Amina Galadima. Every item in the BLK. by Amina line — the name is a nod to her grandmother, Bobbie Louise Knuckles — is designed by Galadima. BLK by Amina promotes the unleashing of creativity, confidence & the light that shines within. 

Our products are designed and manufactured in Oakland, CA. As a small business, designer owned brand, we carry a small amount of inventory and offer specialty items as Made to Order. 

Since February 2019, BLK BY AMINA has grown tremendously, but is currently at a halt due to funding. As the founder and only employee, Amina has poured her time, dedication and savings into BLK BY AMINA and is now ready to take it to the next level. We are currently being sold online, in Blythe Coffee and BLK Girls Greenhouse (featured in Forbes, Essence and Revolt TV), alongside other custom orders.

We have created our crowd funding campaign so that we are able to up production so that we are able to: consistently have supplies and materials on hand without having to wait on the ROI, have enough merchandise to grow our presence in other local small shops.

Raised funding will go to:

Candle materials (soy & coconut wax, candle vessels, lids, labels, ink, candle wicks, glue guns)

Apparel materials (wholesale tshirts, crewnecks, heat transfer prints, tags, labels)

Shop/office (electric, internet, rent, ink, paper)

Marketing (flyers, business cards, advertising, knowledge related subscriptions, product photography & videography)
