We Have 30 Years to Get It Right!
Project Description
- Our mission is to intentionally and proactively advocate for African Americans who are unaware of the projections for 2053. These projections state that the median wealth income of African Americans is on track to hit zero in 30 years. The goal is to educate the people and provide the resources to assist with creating affordable investment and life insurance opportunities, as well as provide debt-elimination practices that work. Additionally, because we understand that our dollar circulates within our community for only six hours, we've created a way to keep those dollars circulating within our communities for months and even years; we call this Ubuntu Drives. Ubuntu means I am because we all are. How it works is we select a pre-qualified business and then we get the word out. On a specific day and time, our followers are invited to join us at that business location for the purpose of spending money with them. We proudly and collectively shop Black - twice a month. Finally, we promote Black excellence through entrepreneurship by working with 4-5 star rated Black-owned businesses exclusively. For those Black-owned businesses that rank lower than 4 stars, we have developed a class to provide support and instructions on methods to increase their ranking and maintain it.
- We are empowering African Americans with wealth-building practices that will provide the beginning steps towards generational wealth-building for our families; eliminating the shame and the helplessness over creating a GoFundMe account because of the loss of a loved one. Additionally, as awareness of racial disparities and the importance of supporting minority-owned businesses has increased, there has been a corresponding growth in marketing agencies that focus on this niche market. Black Money Movement will be included in this effort.
- According to Forbes, "there are 46.8 million African Americans in the U.S. as of 2021 and recent census data shows that there are 3.12 million Black-owned businesses in the U.S., generating $206 billion in annual revenue and supporting 3.56 million U.S. jobs. That's millions of people filling the needs of our local communities and creating jobs for workers of all backgrounds." Everything that we need, we have a Black-owned business that provides it. It's time we learn how to bridge the gap between the Black entrepreneur and the number one consumer in the country - African Americans. We do this by providing consumers with the whereabouts of Black businesses throughout the country. Black Money Movement understands how to accomplish this.
- Individuals can receive one-on-one and group wealth-building classes. Likewise, we offer affordable paid marketing packages to Black business owners, that range in price from $100-$315 per month, there are also quarterly and annual payment options.
- The funds raised will be used to help with the development, production, and initial marketing efforts of Black Money Movement, like the Podcast Shows that we are ramping up, the development of an App that will put our black excellence in entrepreneurship at your fingertips, the purchase of more marketing tools, increase our presence during Ubuntu Drives, build our brand, support our newsletter, blogs, and so much more.

I wrote what I had heard, dropped the paper and pen on the floor, rolled over and went back to sleep. Later that morning when I woke up, I remembered being awakened in the middle of the night and writing something down. I looked over the side of my bed where I saw a receipt and on the back, the words "Black Money Movement" were written. I knew in that moment, that this was going to be epic!
