Berry&Thyme Is Evolving!
We're raising funds to transition into a commercial kitchen space, hire staff, and grow operations.
Project Description
Berry&Thyme is a fruit preserves company in Sacramento, CA. We are most known for making Fancy AF jam that is infused with an herb, flower, pepper, or spice. We've been a home-based business for over three years, and the time has come for us to move into a commercial kitchen! We would LOVE your help and support as we transition into this new chapter of business, even if that means sharing our campaign with your communities. But we have some pretty amazing rewards below for you to enjoy!
In the last three years, we've sold jam online, at dozens of markets and popups, and have had over 40+ retailers throughout California. We recently had to make the tough decision to step away from our wholesale operations because although we keep referring to ourselves as "we" like it's a team of folks operating berry&thyme, it's actually just one person. Entrepreneurship is hard, and 'solopreneurship' has felt....very hard. In this next chapter for berry&thyme, I will expand inventory, hire employees to help lighten the loads (and so my husband can stop working for free haha), and hope to be able to restart wholesale operations sooner than later. - What will these funds be used for? Funds will be used for inventory and materials, commercial kitchen fees, permit fees, new equipment, and hiring employees.
- When can I expect my reward? Rewards will be shipped and delivered by September 6, 2024 (most likely sooner).
- Where is your new commercial kitchen? I'll be subleasing a kitchen in Sacramento, CA at The Nook Wine Bar & Bistro!

We may even keep your flavor in our seasonal roation!
Donations of $2,000 or more will be invited to an intimate dinner at The Nook Wine Bar & Bistro in Sacramento, CA. You will experience delicious and unique dishes that highlight the flavors of our jams, like a late Summer salad with blueberry & sage dressing. You may bring one guest, and all guests will receive free drinks, bites, and a goody bag of berry&thyme products. Date will be on Sunday in September 2024.
If you are unable to make this dinner, goody bags will be shipped or delivered to you, as well as an option for you to choose one of the following:
- Private jam lesson for two
- Create your own jam flavor
- 100 mini jars (3oz) with custom lid label (great for party or wedding favors)
