The mission of SBH is to evoke creativity without the prescription of lines. We use blank heavyweight drawing paper in all of our journals to allow free space for you to express however you need to on that day, on that page.

We are keeping the practice of picking up a pen or pencil alive. It is so common to use technology but this doesn't give the same release of slowing our brain down to the point where we can write it out, or draw it out. We quickly forget when entering information into a screen, so SBH hopes to make your message meaningful again.

Our products are for the office, for the art student, for the potter who needs to draw out their ideas, for the scrapbook lovers.

Funds from IFW donors will help:

1. reduce my waste level

2. invest in more compostable packing materials

3. help me buy in bulk (reduce multiple orders)

4. invest in BIPOC business for holiday gift boxes

5. upgrade my website to a full commerce plan

(this will help me move from IG sales to web sales in a more seamless  and professional manner)

6. invest in a larger order of marketing materials that I need for stockists

7. get a PO Box to better handle material shipments

8. invest in better workroom tools that are best for long term use

Funds will help SBH grow into a new realm of focusing on the future growth and becoming more sustainable in how we purchase materials. SBH has slowly shifted materials, and packing materials into more compostable options.  In addition to getting a better hold on materials to help production, SBH would like to start making small investments in other BIPOC owned businesses to go along with our stationery for gift set offerings. This would include candles, aromatherapy, writing utensils, and our journals to encourage a relaxing moment or many, of creative space.

SBH is run solely by one person who makes every piece of stationery, in Connecticut.
