Our Mission

The mission of A Beautiful closet is two fold; one to mentor, support and uplift fellow women entrepreneurs here in the USA as well as from around the world by showcasing and carrying their beautiful products.  Even though women are the back bone of the family, many women face barriers and lack access to capital to open up a business as well as lack access to global markets to showcase their talent.

Second, I am very passionate about the eradication of poverty around the world and have been fortunate to travel to 45 countries, many of which are developing countries.  I have seen firsthand the true desperation of poverty in some of these countries.   In order to serve humanity I decided to integrate both passions by buying fair trade goods as well as hosting charitable events and donating a percentage of sales to select non-profit organizations that strive to help the disadvantaged.

Our Solution

A Beautiful Closet strives to alleviate this problem by giving fellow women entrepreneurs, the opportunity to showcase and sell their products in our stores while gaining loyal customers at the same time.  A Beautiful Closet also focuses on talented women from the developing world  by paying a fair price for their work and giving them access to the global market by carrying their beautiful products in its stores.

Local community service

A Beautiful Closet loves connecting with the local community.  During this pandemic, we provided 638 care packages consisting of beautiful items curated from the boutique to healthcare workers in different hospitals in the Washington DC metro area to show our appreciation for their efforts in fighting Covid 19.  Because of our efforts A Beautiful Closet was featured on the news on Fox 5 DC.

Use of Funds

As the world is now a global economy, the market size and opportunity is tremendous.  It allows for free trade which is an excellent method for countries to exchange goods and services.  I am seeking funding to expand A Beautiful Closet's footprint and impact by building my own brand, sourcing inventory from a vast amount of women entrepreneurs locally and globally,  expanding my online presence and marketing efforts, and taking my mentorship to another level by offering mentoring workshops within the boutique. I also plan on opening up a third location in Northern Virginia.
