Audio & Data App For Menstrual Pain

After talking to 131 women in Europe and the US, aside from the pain itself,  Moonai answers a frustration for women and people who menstruate, in the lack alternatives for period pain which are non-chemical, tailor-made, non-intrusive, accessible.

Moonai is on a mission to improve women's health by providing a safe digital alternative and on the go for menstrual pain.

How? By providing a mobile app using science-based and customised sounds (music-induced analgesia based on brainwave synchronisation*), resources (e.g. educative content, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Experts database etc.) and pain tracking insights to help reduce their period-related pain.

It focuses on the three-axis of pain perception: biological, psychological, and social factors through its three action points: prevent, education, and relief.

As we aim to relieve the end-users from any extra costs, our business is focused on companies integrating Moonai into their employee perks or health insurances policies. And as we are true believers in the FemTech space, we aim to grow big but together, therefore we have aggregated other apps improving women's health to our bundle package (menopause, sexual wellness, breastfeeding, ...). Providing some solutions to reduce the gender gap & optimise well-being at work.

What's the science behind it? Based on clinical and academic evidence, we work with several neuroscientists, psycho acousticians, doctors, and sound engineers to deliver the best content while contributing to research and development in menstrual health, biohacking, and the effect of music on the body and brain.  Please visit our website or contact us for more information.

Our sounds are exclusively created based on the neuroscientific concept of *brainwave synchronisation, the brain's capacity to naturally synchronise its brainwave to external stimuli, such as sounds. 
The objective is to match sounds to the user's biometrics and emotional inputs to offer tailor-made auditive pain relief.

This innovative approach allows us to highlight a Music Technology aspect by promoting the discovery of music producers and sound engineers and the impact of music on health through what we call "functional music".
