ArtKnot is an all inclusive platform that ties the art community together.

- Hi! My name is Devon Gordon and I am the founder of ArtKnot.
- ArtKnot brings emerging and student artists together with a broad base of consumer and commercial buyers. It also provides artists with a community to gain feedback and connections. It gives buyers the opportunity to purchase fresh, quality, original art at below-gallery prices.

- The problem that ArtKnot is solving is that it is giving power back to the artists. Only 10% of artists who study in college actually go on to make it their full time profession. The art world is geared to sell blue chip artists and give 20% of the artists 80% of the money. All the other art marketplace platforms are missing the relationship aspect that is vital to the artistic community. In addition, the other platforms are designing to democratize the art market for the buyer and not the artist. Galleries also do not have a direct platform to discover emerging talent.

- ArtKnot allows artists to create their own marketing, schedule their own edition drops and keep 70% from their sales. It also has private messaging as well as a message board. ArtKnot's algorithm is designed to highlight the constant influx of new artists. It also has a specific section dedicated to thesis shows and will be the go to place for galleries to look for new talent.

- The market size is expanding. In 2024 it is estimated that the online art market will reach 9.3 billion. Millennials are buying art at a higher rate than previous generations and this number will only increase past 2024. The overall market trend is that more people are comfortable with buying things online which increases online sales.
- ArtKnot is an app that will also be a web platform. It will be available on all devices so it is easily accessible.
- I am seeking funding to complete the development of the app. In addition funding will support a marketing campaign and a legal team.
- I am uniquely qualified because I am a current student at the prestigious Pratt Institute. I am the exact target audience that will benefit from ArtKnot. I am well connected to the community through an art magazine I publish. Also, I have worked in high end Chelsea galleries and have a deep understanding of how the art world functions. My Board of Advisors is exceptional: Jeff Bergman is the current director of Pace Prints, Louis Henry Mitchell is the current Creative Director at Sesame Street, Maria de Los Angeles is a teacher at Pratt Institute and FIT and is also a Yale MFA graduate, Thomas Werner is the founder of fashion and photography magazine named IRK magazine.
