Project Description
Arise operates in the arts and service industries. We have been in operation since December 2022 and we are looking to build a presence that fills both a community need with creative inspiration. Arise will act as both an art studio and a laundromat. Our goal is to meet others where they are and build functional leaders that are equipped to empower others.
The studio will be designed to allow others to meet their basic needs of authentic communication while doing laundry. During that wait time, the community will have the opportunity to speak with experienced art life coaches, engage in art activities and process thoughts and emotions to grow as strong confident individuals. The goal of Arise is to build an authentic community and engage in creative self-expression while completing necessary tasks.
Additionally, Arise is growing an online presence filled with therapeutic art classes and encouragement. The classes are designed to guide individuals through deep emotions and thought processes through artistic expression. In these classes, we walk through various art processes designed for self-expression to allow others to process with encouragement and empowerment.
The goal of these classes is to promote mental health and wellness while growing confidence in their creativity. Along with the classes, we will be starting a line of therapeutic art boxes that others will be able to subscribe to so people that are not in our physical location can still reap the benefits of using art to process therapeutically.
Funding for Arise will be used in a variety of ways. First, we need basic supplies for purchasing and renovating a community building/laundromat. Secondly, funding will go towards the initial start-up costs of subscription boxes.
Once Arise is funded, we will be able to give back to the community. Along with building a thriving community, we hope to give back to other agencies and charities that work towards meeting the needs of others in the community.
