Background-

Smokey Michigan LLC was created in 2019 by a father and daughter duo who has a passion in creating great flavors with simple ingredients. We take pride in moving forward with now a woman owned business, showcasing all natural products including BBQ Sauces, Specialty Seasoning, Sweet with Heat Relish and Popcorn Seasonings. All our products are made with quality ingredients, including local honey for our BBQ Sauces to keep our sugar content low, we never use any additives, fillers or preservatives and make sure that each product is up to our standards and taste. Our mission is to provide customers and wholesalers with the best high-quality and natural product on the market, we stand true to our product and give a full money back guarantee in return. 

Needs and assessments-

Our products are currently in 10 stores and now partnered with Meijer to further our growth. We have implemented a new ordering system in which we will need a better one in the future, our goal is to have a proper control system for our inventory to help keep track of all products in each store and to be up to date and effective for both parties. With our marketing department, we need more capital to further reach more customers than the ones we have now. This would help create more demos in the stores and opportunities to gather more sales for the wholesalers buying our product. Another future problem that will need to be addressed is distribution, for now we are doing it ourselves to save money. I know that once we hit more stores and customers want our product, we won’t be able to keep up while attending to our business. While more capital is flowing in, this would help keep our inventory stable and more advertising to help reach customers. 

Goals/ Objectives-

Our goal as a business is to teach customers the value and health around our products, we want the best for our bodies and others included. Each recipe has been carefully tested through trial and error to achieve the best taste and still be nutritionally acceptable. We continue to build and test recipes to our customers’ liking, for example we will be coming out soon with a sodium free version of our all-purpose seasoning. Sodium free seasonings are becoming more popular with customers’ health needs, and we want to provide a flavorful product to satisfy their cravings. A lot of products on the market today are filled with preservatives, fillers, additives, dyes, anti-caking, high fructose corn syrup and much more. We strive to produce a valuable product with nothing to hide, only all natural ingredients. 

Implementation/evaluation plan-

We continue to market to our valuable customers who want to try our product, through social media and events to personally meet and tell our story to the buyer. We have contacted more big named stores and hope to further expand out of state. Our plan is to double our sales from last year, along with doubling the number of stores we go into. We hope to be able to expand across the USA, with more capital coming in, this can help us save to buy a warehouse to hold more of our products. 

How funds will be used-

Funds to help our business grow further will be used for marketing, creating more exciting content for our viewers currently on social media. Signs, banners and merch will be possible, having our customers be able to take something with them with our logo on it would be a reminder to use our products, and represent future sales through advertising on their own. With more reach and flow of capital, we can invest in a warehouse to hold our products, keep a better track on inventory and having less money go out per pull on deliveries. We hope to have our own processing facility one day to be able to fully produce all our items without contracting them out to different companies. This would save a lot of time and money, keeping a better track record and quality check for all products.
