Project Description
- The Miranda Willis Adult Day Care organization will provide quality services to all participants, family members, and the local community with much-needed resources and support. This adult daycare will offer services that will give reliable help, trust, and a healthy interactive environment for the elder. Thus, increasing social interaction, restoring balance in a crisis, improving daily living skills that may diminish, and enhancing the overall quality of life for participants.
- I consume the desire and passion for opening an adult daycare to enhance the quality of life of the elderly population and to become a much-needed resource for caregivers who are overwhelmed from caring for loved ones. Research shows that 85% of caretakers do not seek any respite care. Because of personal experience and observation throughout my career, I have observed an increase in the number of caregivers becoming exhausted from taking care of their loved ones, which leads to nursing home placement and the nonsentience of family interaction and care.

The funds will be utilized towards start-up capital for a building to be able to provide much-needed resources and support.
