2021 Women Hired in 2021

At The ElevateHer, we provide women with the tools and resources that they need to go from unemployed or underemployed to landing job offers that will propel them forward in their careers and their lives.

I’m Nakisha Hicks, veteran HR Executive, job search expert, speaker and the Founder of The ElevateHer.

The ElevateHer is a career coaching company and we create and provide job search tools, resources and education training for individuals as well as organizations.

The unemployment rate for women of color in the U.S. is well over 8% compared to the national average of 6.9% all unemployed persons in the U.S. These women are at greater risk of evictions and foreclosures on their homes, food insecurity, and will possibly experience a reduction in their future earning power and career advancement.  These women are tired, frustrated and scared of what their futures may be. Many don’t have a resume, don’t know how to search for jobs, and are nervous about the interview process. So as a result, if they happen to find a job, it is one that takes them from being unemployed to underemployed, which continues to perpetuate the cycle of pay inequity and career advancement.

The ElevateHer was created to provide clarity and easily applied tools and resources to make job searching easier and more effective for women of color.

As an HR executive, I’ve seen really candidates and those that weren’t so great. Through my experiences, I’m able to help job seekers navigate the hiring process and give them insight on what hiring managers are looking for and what job seekers must have in tact in order to put themselves ahead of other job seekers.

I am crowdfunding so that we can provide access to career coaching, resume services, professional development trainings and other items to train, develop and get 2021 women of colored back in the workforce in 2021.
