Scaling a climate tech company comes with its own unique challenges. When thinking through the launch of and early-stages of your company there are key considerations to explore related to the solution you pursue. Will you be building a hardware company that requires navigating the manufacturing process or a data and software solution? These decisions will greatly impact how you scale your startup and build your fundraising strategy. Additionally, there are a number of programs that can support you along your entrepreneurial journey as a climate tech founder. Join this session to explore how participation in a program like Venture For ClimateTech helps climate tech innovators connect with the funding, training, and resources necessary to launch and grow their companies.

About the coach

Chante Harris is a champion of scaling innovative and impactful nationwide campaigns, technologies, and ideas for the Obama Administration, Fortune 500 companies, and startups. As a go-to-market strategist, she has successfully driven long-term expansion for startups and established companies by leading them through the complex processes of winning procurement opportunities, securing pilot projects, undertaking design challenges, and launching community impact initiatives. She has worked to advance Citywide and Statewide initiatives that champion climate change and the circular economy through the deployment of emerging technologies and the creation of corresponding policy. Chante is now leading the launch of Venture for ClimateTech , a venture studio and accelerator model sourcing the most promising climate solutions across the globe.

Named by America on Tech as an Innovator and Disruptor and Women Enews as a Pioneering Woman in Sustainability, she is passionate about civic engagement and a fierce advocate for women and people of color's representation in climate tech and sustainability. Additionally, she a Venture Partner with Republic and the co-founder of Women of Color Collective in Sustainability (WOC/CS), a digital community for women of color to build their careers, create professional success, and advance their well-being. Chante was selected as part of Summit's inaugural Impact Fellowship class and currently serves as a Senior Summit Fellow. She is based in New York City, where she serves as Vice-Chair of Diversity for Teach For America-New York's Associate Board, Board Member of PowerShift Network and an Emerging Leader for New York Women's Foundation.
