What is the mission of your company or project? •The TeleDentists presents the Virtual Tooth Fairy, available for scheduled video chats with your kid to talk about oral health. Our mission is to reduce the risk of oral disease, use innovation to target unmet oral health needs, and pioneer new business models to improve oral healthcare.

Describe the problem you are solving. The Academy of Pediatrics says that dental caries is a silent epidemic. 1 of 7 (13%) adolescents aged 12-19 years have at least one untreated decayed tooth.  With The Virtual ToothFairy, we will make oral healthcare fun and interactive for both children and parents. 

What is the market size/opportunity? •The oral care market is projected to reach USD 53.3 billion by 2025 from USD 45.8 billion in 2020, at a CAGR of 3.1%. Furthermore, Teledentistry is predicted to grow to $2.9B annually in 3 years in the USA alone.

What is your company/product about and how does it solve the problem? Children lose teeth every day– make it a magical, learning moment. With The TeleDentists Virtual Tooth Fairy, you and your child will talk on a HIPAA compliant video app. She can give brushing and flossing instructions, product recommendations, and, if you need, a referral to a dental office for treatment.

Why are you seeking funding and how will you spend the funding? This is a new product presented by The TeleDentists. Funding will be used towards marketing and development. 

Who is on your team? The TeleDentists is a national network of dentists in all 50 states. The Virtual ToothFairy will be registered dental hygienists, who can give oral health instructions and product recommendations.
