My name is Shanté Norton and I am the owner and operator of Yoga with Shanté, LLC. My business is a small, self-started mobile yoga business. My mission is to bring yoga and wellness to the masses. Yoga with Shanté strives to be inclusive, giving light and guidance through the eight (8) limbs of yoga to people regardless of shape size, economic status or any other exceptionality. Today, the rate of depression, suicide, and anxiety has risen. People are struggling with ways to cope and feelings of inclusion to a greater good/cause. Yoga with Shanté, LLC will work with persons aged 0-110 to create a spiritual platform for their lives through regular asana practice, mediation and yogic study. Yoga with Shanté will aim to help create a balanced individual with counseling, consultation and a physical yoga practice; weaving together therapy and a yogic lifestyle. Yoga with Shanté is personalized yoga, kids’ yoga, and virtual yoga for any human interested.

              Currently, Yoga with Shanté is facing economic barriers to obtaining the start-up costs to begin aligning the vision of the business to the practice. It is my plan to obtain my licensure in mental health counselling, which includes having to take 4 classes to do so. This would cost roughly 6000 to include instructional fees and books, materials and technology fees. Yoga with Shanté also needs office space to research, meet with clients physically and virtually, strengthen our self-practice and plan for the practice.  I would like to do this by opening my home and restoring a back room to do this. This would cost roughly 15,000. Lastly, I would need to be able to renew my insurance, professional development opportunities, and renew my alliance memberships. Yoga with Shanté, LLC would eventually like to open for future gurus and trainings, by being a 500-RYT trainer. These administrative costs would be roughly 6,00. Here is the final breakdown of how I will spend this funding.
