Project Description
Medical programs are extremely competitive and standardized tests have gotten tougher causing millions of diverse and compassionate future doctors, nurses, and PAs to drop out of pipeline programs. To beat the odds students purchase study tools and seek mentors, but unless you have the right connections, it’s hard to find the right people and right tools to guide you to success.
Before it was the scalable online platform it is today, GABA was a 1:1 coaching fee-based service for pre-med students at risk of failing or underperforming on exams with an 86% success rate in improving student exam performance. Despite early success, it was not designed to scale.

Aftermarket validation, GABA is now an online community that uses a proprietary algorithm to match pre-health students to study tools, tutors, mentors, and coaches based on their learning preference and desired career each with a revenue stream attached. It retains its membership through virtual events and ongoing educational content created by members of the community.
Since the launch of our market-ready product in January, we have acquired over 400 users on our platform and $420 in revenue with 30% month over month new user sign-ups.
Through GABA we are creating a career development platform for every stage in the life cycle of becoming a health professional by doing so, combat the health professional shortage by increasing the number of students that make it to practice.
We recently finished a round of user tests and would like to improve based on our user feedback to drive premium conversion. From that feedback, we learned that users wanted more functionality in the mobile environment to support community engagement. Based on feature set selection and the mobile roadmap we estimate that it will take an additional 300 hours of development to complete those tasks. Funds will go directly to achieving these milestones and to digital marketing to enhance our social media influencer strategy and search engine marketing ads. This in turn will help us achieve the business outcomes of $110,000 in year 1 revenue through enhanced user experience and increased brand awareness.
