Our Mission 

It is our mission to celebrate the richness of black culture by creating retail spaces exclusively for black entrepreneurs to sell their products and provide a one stop shop for our community to purchase quality black owned products, and circulate the black dollar, uplifting us all. 

The Problem

The Buying power in the Black Community is 1.4 billion Dollars, the second Highest by Race/Ethnicity. Yet the current the National Average for Black owned products and brands in retail stores across the US is around 3%. What this means is that when we shop it is likely that 97% of our money is escaping the black community and flowing into other communities. Which explains why other community’s money circulates between 17-29 days and the black dollar only circulates for 6 hours.

Shopping black is one of the simplest ways to increase the circulation of the black dollar and bridge the racial wealth gap.

The Solution

A great way to combat this problem is to provide more opportunities for black owned businesses and consumers by opening Uplift Us Marketplace in more cities across the nation.

Funds raised from this campaign will go directly to opening additional locations. This includes start up cost, employees, and advertising.
