Hey #Swimfam!
I can't believe that summer has come to an end and that fall is here!
It's true when they say time flies when you're having fun and this summer we had tons of it.
Per my last update, I am back with an end-of-summer update. Here's what took place this summer:
- We taught over 60 individuals how to conquer their fears and learn how to swim.
- Hired and certified three people to become American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors.
- BPWS became an American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim provider. This means that we are officially recognized by the American Red Cross!
- Offered free swim lessons to those who can't afford them.

Now, that summer has come to an end, we are delivering on our promises, which is to fulfill our crowdfunding campaign. For those who purchased BPWS merchandise, we aim to have them delivered to you all by Thanksgiving. Right now, we received our BPWS towels and they are amazing — and I'm not being biased.
As for the swim lessons and swim parties, due to COVID-19, our goal is to host them spring 2022 and we can't wait! 🌊🏄🏽♀️🏊🏿♂️
Lastly, while we have achieved our goal of raising $40,000, our ultimate goal is having a pool to call home and now we're relying on our community to reach this goal.
