The toxic overload in our human systems is leading to all kinds of health issues that we again treat with more toxic chemicals. At the same time, the devastation of our ecosystems, and plastic pollution, pose an unprecedented existential threat.
My name is Susana Gago, and I'm a purpose-driven and long-term vision entrepreneur, launching a life-centered ecosystem, determined to use business as a tool for good.
- What is THE PHILOSOPHY?
UNAKTI, the Sanskrit word translating "Unite" says it all: everything is linked, from the organic cultivation of our medicinal and aromatic plants and extraction of oils to packaging and involvement of the consumers in a circular loop system for a regenerative outcome in terms of soils, traditions and cultures, women's empowerment, responsible consumption, and production, bridging the gap between the grassroots and the final customer with total transparency and traceability, etc.

We aim at raising $57.000 with this campaign, to fund the research & development of our sustainable and biodegradable packaging, and "Golden Aura", our first product that will be launched at the beginning of 2022, and take the necessary legal steps ahead in order to be investors-ready.
The cosmetics package is made out of ceramic and bamboo, with a unique and innovative slide-open lid, with a magnet system for safe closure. We are creating bamboo refills too. Not only sustainable but reusable and biodegradable!
Part of the funding will also allow us to move forward with the pre-seed $1.5 mln funding we are already raising from investors in two milestones, that will cover the product launching and first 18-month runway.

1- Are your products cruelty-free? You don’t test on animals, do you?
Nope. No way. Uh uh. Not ever. TESTING ON ANIMALS IS UNNECESSARY AND BARBARIC.
2- What’s the shelf life of your products?
All our products have a two-year shelf-life
3-You make a big thing about the purity of your ingredients, but how about preservatives, aren't they synthetic chemicals like most other Eco-brands?
We just don't touch synthetic compounds, we never have, and we never will. Our proprietary preservative is 100% natural

Susana Gago, the founder of Unakti, lives in India since 2003.
Over the years, she has developed a deep connection to the Vedas as the most evolved civilization that has populated planet earth, and Ayurveda as one of its branches.
Between Goa and the Himalayas, two of the top ten biodiversities in the world, she has learned about the vast array of medicinal and aromatic plants nested on the sacred lands of India.
State of the Art Manufacturing Plant:
Most of our products are manufactured in a purpose-built, state-of-the-art industrial plant in India. The plant is GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and Ayush certified.
5-What differentiates your natural skincare products from other clean brands on the market? Our Herbal extracts:
All herbs are grown and measured according to Ayurvedic scripts, plucked at a particular time
and season. Shade dried and hand pounded, to keep the valuable properties of the plants. We don't use machine grinding as the temperature increase on the herbs increase in the herbs, which will damage their properties.
The herbs are hand ponded until manipulated into fine nanoparticles. then we make herbal extracts through steam and CO2 distillation. That extract is converted into nano herbal extract called liposomes. the entire process takes 1 to 10 weeks, Some extracts take even months.
6- Why nanotechnology on cosmetics?
Believe it or not, Nanotechnology finds its origins in ancient Vedic times, known as Bhasma in ancient Ayurvedic medicine.
The skin pore has a conical shape and a size range between 25 to 75nanometres on average. That means, all particles about that size, stay on the pore cone, not reaching penetration to deeper layers of the skin.
In cosmetics, our green nanotechnology is the science of manipulating atoms and molecules in nanoscales smaller than 100 nanometres, 80.000 times smaller than the width of a human hair. Our Nanotech raw materials are non-GMO and cosmos organic certified.
