Transformative Art Lounge & Festival for BIPOC

Many Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) have inadequate access to art space, arts education and celebratory culture space in certain areas of Long Island, New York. By providing an exceptional, affordable arts lounge and hybrid arts festival, there will be an increase in workforce development for low-income artists and the local community, as well as an opportunity to help fund a community school of the arts and STEM for low-income students. The Vybe Lounge, LLC will partner with Social Play Haus and Colored Colors to produce the PlayHaus Fest. We will use the funds raised to pay staff, building costs, permits and licenses, artists and collaborators, purchase equipment and supplies, and cover production expenses for our first hybrid arts festival (virtual and limited in-person), that will highlight the amazing culture and art of artists in Long Island, NY. We will also receive ticket sales for this event as tickets are $10 each for both online and in-person options. The festival will consist of an art showcase, art panel, poetry slam, comedy show, music performances, and a DJ scratch battle. The festival will take place on April 24, 2021 from 2:00-10:00pm EST.
