The Obesity Cancer Link

The World Cancer Research Fund estimates that about 20% of all cancers diagnosed in the US are related to body fatness, physical inactivity, and poor nutrition, which could be prevented. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention the percentage of children with obesity in the United States has more than tripled since the 1970s, and today, about one in five school-aged children (ages 6–19) has obesity. After losing 115 pounds I decided to take the salad dressings and food products that I made for myself to help me change my life style to the market.

Tracy’s Gourmet® is a specialty foods company based in North Carolina.  We produce clean foods using high quality ingredients free of dangerous chemical preservatives and food fillers to support an end to obesity and improved health and wellness. Our mission is to make eating clean flavorful and fun for a lifetime. The trademarked, registered, one-of-a-kind flavors are made with clean, natural and organic ingredients such as our culinary lavender vinaigrette salad dressing – the first lavender vinaigrette on the market.

Our problem is supply and demand and not being able to fulfill large orders.  Two major, global retailers reached out to me to carry my products recently.  However, because we are unable to fulfill large orders they put us on hold, and we missed the opportunity to grow the business. Recently, I was confirmed to be an exhibitor at a trade show in Canada in 2018.  However, without the capital and the ability to fulfill large orders I will not be able to sign contracts.

Currently, we operate out of a shared use kitchen with other food companies and food trucks.  The capital that we raise will be used to lease our own commercial kitchen, equipment and cash flow. With  three brand ambassadors and  two production assistants we can significantly increase production and scale the business.
