Project Description
We are seeking funding to help with manufacturing costs which are quite extensive as well as storage costs. This money will allow the factory to release the product so we can start selling.
BUILDING A COMMUNITY
Based in Los Angeles, Thyrst Beauty's started as a blog in 2018 called "The Drip" covering topics such as beauty trends, skincare, health, and wellness. The goal was to educate and inspire women to want to commit to building their self confidence by doing more for themselves. As Allyson continued to learn about the beauty and the skincare industry (drawing on her own experience as a consumer and expert) she saw a need for a skincare line of anti- aging products.
"What I felt was missing was the total package in one comprehensive line; an anti-aging line that minimizes the number of product applications, provides you with all the necessary ingredients for better skin in a more compact platform, follows clean beauty standards using natural plant-based ingredients, and lastly sells at an affordable price point for the quality."
PHILOSOPHY
How will you quench your thyrst? The philosophy is beauty begins underneath. Self care is a lifestyle- not a 30 day challenge or half committed New Year’s resolution… It’s about setting intentions every day, making nutritional choices, best wellness practices, feeling guiltless for the splurge, making commitments to learn and grow physically and intellectually, surrounding yourself with good company, eating dessert first sometimes, doing what you love, finding the joy, and feeling confident and fabulous. It is unrealistic to think this is 100% possible all day everyday but there is no shame in that- it is an important piece of our message that it is OK to fall or fail- just get back up and to be resilient.
"I was determined to find an avenue where I could share my message and experience with others... and then voila- Thyrst Beauty was born. The overarching theme is let's find a 'thyrst for life' together...and by giving it our all, be better together."
INNOVATION AND INSPIRATION
The brand's inspiration came from Allyson's personal journey and her passion for self care, design, and sales/ marketing. Her desire to build a sense of community led to seeing a need for a product line that was unique but also would be for everyone. The packaging and formulas were really important each taking a year to develop.
"Florence Knoll (a famous architect who has be very influential in my professional life) said it perfectly 'good design is good business' which is why I have been very thoughtful about the design of the brand as a whole- the message, packaging, and formulas. I want the brand to be a reflection of me and what I have learned to be true and important."

Do I need to purchase all four products in order for this to be effective?
Each product can be used individually but for best results we recommend using all four. The products lean on each other and the regimen, especially the ingredients in each product, is what makes the line most effective.
What is the return policy?
We will provide a full refund upon return of unopened product in original condition.
Is Thyrst Beauty products vegan?
Yes, the entire line is vegan and almost entirely plant based.
Are Thyrst Beauty products cruelty free?
All Thyrst Beauty products are cruelty free.
What is the product shelf life?
The shelf life is about a year and a half but we recommend using the products right way in order to get the most out of the products.
Which Thyrst Beauty products are not safe if you are pregnant or nursing?
We recommend avoiding products with retinol or salicylic acid when pregnant or nursing. However, you should always check with your doctor to ensure any skincare is safe while pregnant or nursing. These are the products that currently contain retinol or salicylic acid; Serum 11 and Moisturizer 12. Bakuchiol (a similar, less irritating compound to retinol) is another frequently used ingredient. All of the products except for Exfoliant 07 contain Bakuchiol.
Where are your products manufactured?
All of Thyrst Beauty Products are made in USA.
Is your packaging recyclable/ sustainable?
Sustainable packaging is just as important as the formulas themselves. This is why we have thoughtfully designed our packaging to be environmentally friendly and sustainable. Our outer packaging and marketing material is made out of FSC certified paper. Both our plastic tubes and glass containers are recyclable as well.
Are your products "natural" and/or "organic"?
Most of our ingredients are natural (97-99% depending on the product) and the remaining ingredients are either naturally derived or synthetic but safe such as peptides. All organic ingredients will have an asterisk next to it on the ingredients list. Organic doesn't necessarily have the same meaning that people typically associate and doesn't not make the products healthier or more effective.
Are Thyrst Beauty Products preservative free?
We use only natural preservatives. Without them, products would not have any kind of shelf life.
Are all chemicals bad for you?
No, in fact, our bodies are made up of chemicals; however, some chemicals can be harmful. We choose not to use toxic, harmful chemicals in our formulas as a promise and investment in the health and wellness of our customers.
