Who are we?

Teonille is an organic, vegan, and cruelty free company that focuses our products on using the highest quality plant based ingredients. Natural products that are environmentally responsible and good for the skin and hair. We are black owned and believe aging is a source of celebration and a beautiful process that should be embraced and discovered. Our intent is to unleash the power of authentic beauty. All of our products are handmade with the highest quality organic ingredients.  

About me

Thank you for taking the time and interest in my company! The name TEONILLE comes from my mother's middle name.  The company was birthed out of a pure love of natural ingredients. As a child, I loved doing natural facials and hair treatments with my mom that I concocted in my kitchen. I simply love the act of self care. I used that special time to regenerate my body and my mind. I was fascinated by the amazing effects and results of ingredients that I found in my kitchen and it led me down a path of homemade products for my friends and family.  In 2006, I attempted to start my own company that was dedicated to using only natural ingredients for the skin and hair. It was called Truth Bodycare.  It had some success but ultimately I bit off more than I could chew for a one woman show. I was a new single mom and with a brand new baby and no real help. I closed that business a year later.  Since that time, I've had plenty of amazing experiences working as an actress in film and televison. I've tried A LOT of products! At the end of the day I knew what ingredients worked on me and what did not and what kind of company I wanted.  My formulations and mixtures come naturally to me and honestly have been the secret to my skin and hair care regimen over the last 15 years in film and television.  I'm a creative and hard working actress, writer, photographer, director and single mother of two amazing teenage boys.  I'm finally in a place in my life where I would like to share my secrets with the world.  I feel confident in Teonille.

Target Launch and Goal

I plan on using the initial start up money to formulate and test ingredients to ensure the highest quality product during the summer (July and August).  In September, the plan will be to start rolling out promotion teasers via Instagram, Youtube, and Twitter. The idea is to take our client along on our journey in a docu-style, behind the scenes adventure of how the brand comes together.  Building a following and create buzz.  During the month of October, I'll be finalizing packaging and labeling details, completing promotion videos and assets for marketing, and launching a secure professionally designed website.  We plan on a soft launch in November to lead up to holiday and Christmas sales.

My goal with Teonille is to bring more awareness to my children and my black community about the importance of black owned businesses.  As the company grows, I will be able to create more job opportunities in marketing and sales, product design, photography, advertising, accounting, and customer service.  My longterm goals are to be able to help fund other black owned start ups as well as offer scholarships and grants to young teens.
