Take Office is going live in 2023, and we plan to triple the number of women we train in our next cohort!
Project Description
Take Office helps women explore careers in public policy and politics. We believe that every other person in senior leadership in government should be a woman. Gender equity is the path towards better government and better solutions to the worlds most pressing problems.
Take Office trains accomplished women interested in accelerating their pathways to senior leadership in public policy and government, including running for office. Since our pilot program launch at Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs in 2020, we have run three accelerator programs and helped accelerate the careers of dozens of accomplished women, who now sit in positions of greater power and influence.
In 2023, after two years of running our program virtually, we plan to convene a new cohort, in-person in New York City, where we will triple the number of women we can accept into our cohort, from 20 to 60.
Your support will allow us to train more women, which includes a robust financial aid program that allows us to take every woman who seeks our training, regardless of their ability to pay.

Who is eligible for the Take Office Accelerator?
Take Office welcomes all who support gender equity in government. Our program is designed to support women including transgender and nonbinary individuals pursue pathways to senior public policy leadership, including running for public office. Take Office is unable to enroll any person who is a declared candidate for public office during the dates the Accelerator is running.
When is the next Take Office Accelerator?
Dates for the next Accelerator will be announced in 2023.
What if I have a reserved seat for the next Accelerator but cannot attend during the announced dates?
Should a rewards winner not be able to participate during the 2023 dates due to schedule conflicts, that person's seat reservation will be honored for the next scheduled Accelerator. In the alternative, the reserved seat may be transferred to any other eligible attendee of the rewards winner's choosing.
Is Take Office a nonprofit?
Yes, Take Office is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization.
