THE FINAL COUNTDOWN TO OPEN DIFFERENT WRLD

Hello angels! <3 We are so grateful you are here. 

We took the leap to start this dream in October 2020. We've spent the entire last year and a half since then digging in our heels to make it a reality. 

We launched this iFundWomen campaign in September 2021 and made it to $10,061 of our original goal of $50k. 

It's now April 2022 and our building is set to pass inspections next week. 

We'll be ready to get the doors open on MAY 13th, 2022. But without reaching our funding goals, this simply won't be possible.

WE ARE HERE TO RAISE AN ADDITIONAL $25K by APRIL 30th. IF WE DO NOT REACH THIS GOAL, THE DOORS MAY NOT BE ABLE TO OPEN. 

It's a scary place to be in. It's not our first choice to be out here again, PBS telethon style, reminding you for the fifty millionth time that this station is funded by viewers like you. But, we're stubborn as hell and won't let this dream die. 

We know this idea is a little wild and that opening a business with community as the priority over profit is easier said than done. We know that as BIPOC, queer, and femme biz owners, the deck is stacked against us. Despite a long road and many unexpected building expenses, typical construction delays, and a ton of other setbacks and hurdles, we've still made it this far because of YOU. 

Every dollar towards our cause has been given by YOU, our gorgeous gorgeous angels. Our people are the ones who give their last $5 to help a friend, knowing that it will always come back to them when they need it. 

Every dollar we spend has been carefully considered to make sure it's directed toward building a foundation of community support that comes back to you tenfold. 

We've raised more money than any of us has ever had in our bank accounts before. Our crew is doing this as a labor of love because we believe this will truly help support our community and the parts of this city that we want to keep alive. 

We are here to redefine what a business is all about. And we are so deeply grateful for every way you all show up to support us. 

But the reality of it is that we are still scraping by. 

WE NEED TO MEET OUR GOAL OF $25K TO BE ABLE TO WELCOME YOU INTO THE SPACE. IT'S NOW OR NEVER. 

There is nothing more that we want than to open these doors and feel all of your beautiful selves lighting up and pouring your energy into the space. There is nothing more that we want than for you to believe that whatever world you want to create is possible.

We want to personally give a little forehead kiss to every single one of you that takes the time to read this. We can't imagine what Asheville would be without you all, and you all are what make this project what it is.
