A not-so-classic tale about love, soulmates, materialism and behavioral retargeting.

Not bad for a $500 budget promo, huh? Now, imagine what we could do with $30,000!
But, seriously, this is a great, women-driven script, co-written by two women. The underlying plot of this story explores the impact targeted advertising has on our lives, and how the simulation of a romantic relationship can act as its own form of behavior modification.
So far, it has won Best First Time Screenwriter in the Top Shorts Film Festival, was a finalist in the Big Apple Film Festival, and was selected for the Finish Line Script Competition.
With your support, we can reach our goal of a $30,000 budget for "Ellie." That figure ensures that our piece will assume the quality, production value, acting talent, and all other elements that are representative of the feature-length thrillers appearing in theaters today.
Each dollar of your support will be divided among the three phases of production as such:
- $0.10 of every dollar will go to Pre-production costs: wardrobe, props, location permits, and legal services
- $0.57 of every dollar will go to Production costs: cast, crew, insurance, catering, production gear and supplies
- $0.33 of every dollar will go to Post-production costs: editor, compositor, music coordinator, sound design, mixer, and a composer.

What are you going to do with the film once it's produced?
This film is a very strong proof-of-concept for a feature, so our goal for it is two-fold: First, we will submit the finished film for the 2021 festival circuit. Second, we will use the film to get investors on board to help us bring the full story to life!
We believe this story, as well as our effort to elevate female representation in the media, will resonate with a wide range of communities,
Media representation matters and so does our content.
What's a day like on set?
It depends on what you're interested in. There's lights, cameras, sound monitors, art, props, wardrobe, makeup and not to mention, production assistants buzzing around the set to help in any way they can.
Basically, it's really fun!
You should join us on set because we'll show you a good time. BUT we mean business so professionalism reigns supreme.
Why won't I get the digital screener until 1.5 years after the film is finished?!
A big stipulation in submitting films into film festivals is that it can't be shared with the public. However, this doesn't preclude us from having a private viewing party, which, depending on which reward you'd like to invest in, you are invited!
What if you don't raise $30,000? How will you allocate the funds?
If we are unable to raise the full $30,000, we will have to cut costs on the project for the amount we cannot self-finance. While this may detract from the overall production quality of the project, we are confident that both the script and our team are talented enough to compensate in the event this happens.
Where does the extra money go? In your personal bank account?!
No way!
Any additional monies over the $30,000 will go to the numerous talented creatives who have generously agreed to donate their time and resources to us as a thank you for their efforts.
Once "Ellie" is fully produced, we will be hosting a screening event for our nearest and dearest... and if you donate, you're definitely included!
Plus, you'll get a "Special Thanks To" credit in the film and a digital screener!
