If you had my heartfelt smothering butter, sugar, and batter cakes, then you probably know me for sure by Southern Sweetz. With every cake baked, blessed, & sold, you can feel the soulful love I have for baking. As for the lady behind the spatula and whipping cream is myself Mrs. Laura Ann Bowman.

Nevertheless, it’s officially Go Time and Southern Sweetz along with our new non-profit, the Birthday Celebration Foundation (BCF) helping young children to never have to experience a moment of neglect or non-well wishes on their birthday. With the rise of BCF ... Yes, we can now take our passion side hustle to new heights with the mission to serve underserved youth in foster homes or simply a child(s) in need with a beautiful cake surprise and song on their birthday, that will bring a smile they will never forget such as our 18 year old friend who we provide her first ever birthday cake. 

As a neighboring friend on Melrose, the business has grown tremendously over the last 12-18 months. My customer list has increased by 15% since I invested in my brand marketing and social media presence. The Birthday Celebration is the philanthropic arm of Southern Sweetz created to give back to kids in foster homes, providing him/her with a birthday cake, spreading joy & love on our visits to the homes, and ensuring that no child’s smile is left behind on their birthday. Amongst those three things, funding is our next big reward and testimony, claiming it :)
