SCORE! seeks to provide a safe and competitive environment for youth athletes to train and perfect their craft. In addition, having personal knowledge of how difficult it can be to create a path as a female athlete, I also desire to create a comfortable space for other young ladies to come realize their athletic potential. Athletes of all sports can receive one on one specialized training or take part in group workout activities in addition to receiving nutritional guidance. At SCORE! We understand the benefits of quality training during the early developmental stage.

According to a recent APA study, non athletic affiliated urban youth found to be 57% more likely to drop out of high school by their senior year. There are many youth, especially in the inner city, who do not have an easily accessible indoor facility to train and work on their individual skill sets. Some consider disconnecting from the sports world, while others resort to gathering in public parks and playgrounds to workout which, in the Urban Community, may also mean leaving themselves open to hazardous environments. There is also a shortage of quality trainers that possess both the patience and knowledge required when working with young athletes.

My company/facility will offer a fully equipped private gym/workout space complete with turf flooring. I will provide a safe and nurturing environment for both personal and group workout settings all year round for a multitude of sports including football, basketball, track and soccer. As a Team USA Women’s football gold medalist, a former Division 1 athlete, and current youth and high school coach, I know what it takes to be a successful competitor and want to instill those qualities in our aspiring athletes.

There are numerous youth organizations throughout the city as well as the founders of the WNFC (Women’s National Football Conference) who are in full support of SCORE’s vision. All funds raised will go towards securing a permanent home for SCORE. Funds would also support all renovations needed to make SCORE an optimal workout space for the city’s youth.
