America is the wealthiest nation on the planet yet our healthcare is more expensive and less effective than most other developed nations. This is the 21st century and there is no excuse!
There is a better way
Many Americans have experienced excellent and affordable healthcare elsewhere in the world, we need to get those stories out! These stories will help convince more Americans to believe in the dream!
The current way isn’t working
Medical bills cause more than 600,000 bankruptcies every year. The CDC estimates that 45,000 Americans die every year just because they don’t have insurance. This loss of life is absurd, destructive, and harmful to your friends, family, and the economy.
It’s time for a safety net
America is way overdue for medical and health reforms. Now is the best time to get the message out, to show everyone how it can be, and lay out a roadmap to get there.
The Roadmap to Medicare for All
Step one is information and education. The biggest problem is that people just don’t know how much better it could be! There is a lot of disinformation out there, and a documentary is one of the best ways of getting the information out there. We will illuminate the truth, facts, stories, and experiences about universal healthcare.
It’s all about voter consensus
For better or worse, politicians want to get reelected and will work very hard to appease their voters. If the voters come to a consensus on an issue, the politicians will respond. The way to build consensus is to inform and educate voters - with a high caliber documentary! Already, 55% of American voters are in favor of a single-payer system like Medicare For All. We are at a watershed moment and just need to build a little bit more support for the idea to make it a reality.
We are conducting interviews across America and across the world
We’re interviewing people who have witnessed better healthcare firsthand as well as people who have had their lives destroyed by our current system. Furthermore, we will be interviewing researchers and policy experts about the nitty gritty - the nuts and bolts of medicare for all. Lastly, we will be interviewing medical providers about their perspective and insight on the barriers they face to providing top quality medical care. We are going to get a deep cross section of the issue from across America as well as outside America. We can emulate the success of other nations
