Philadelphia Women's Network Connection, LLC. is a national transitioning to global women's business organization who strategize with women business owners by identifying their strengths, building quality connections and sharing resources that will get excellent and proven results in their business. Who is Animal Care & Control Team Philly (ACCT) Philly
ACCT Philly is an animal shelter on the outside circumference of center city. They are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, who relay on donations to help in their mission of finding safe homes for sheltered animals. ACCT Philly houses more than cats and dogs at their shelter. They cater to all animals by providing housing, food, emergency services, medical services, adoption, foster, rescue placement and etc...
The Problem
Due to COVID-19, like many businesses, ACCT Philly felt the impact financially. The city cut their contract by almost $900,000, nearly 20 percent of their annual budget. As you can imagine, this has had a huge impact on the organization. Continuous funds are needed so they can allocate to areas that are needed the most at the facility. Due to COVID-19 a lot of families had to surrender their pets, unfortunately they can not care for them any longer due to the current economy and pandemic. Animals continue to need medical care, and the shelter is expected to provide the same range of services despite the significant cut. In order to do this, the organization has to have the funds necessary to meet the needs of the community.
Our Mission
PWNC has partnered with Animal Care & Control Team (ACCT) Philly for an awareness campaign. Our goal is to raise $8,000, with 30 percent going to support ACCT Philly, and the remaining funds supporting the critical work that PWNC does, such as providing programs, resources, virtual events and workshops to entrepreneurs who want to continue to grow their businesses. We want to continue working and giving back to the community, focusing more on local non-profit organizations.
The Solution
We want to bring awareness to ACCT Philly and the phenomenal work they are doing with the animals. Due to ACCT Philly not being in Center City Philadelphia, this non-profit is easily overlooked. If they had more awareness and funding, the possibilities are endless for getting these animals for-ever homes. There is a need for adoptions, foster care or volunteering at the shelter. We will be adding ACCT Philly to PWNC's list of local non-profits that we want to work with on a yearly basis.

As the founder of the Philadelphia Women's Network Connection LLC, I want to bring awareness to these animals and this organization. COVID-19 has affected all of us, especially non-profits and small businesses. Who is the voice for these innocent animals? It is our responsibility as a society to make sure that these animals are taken care of as well. I always said that animals are " just people with fur" and "angels without wings." This is a cause that I am very passionate about having adopted an animal from ACCT Philly 8 1/2 years ago. Even If you donate a $1 or $1,000 all donations are substantial. We want to thank our supporters for their generous donations, we appreciate you!
