Our Mission

Prayzeworthy Epathekere aims to support BIPOC individuals and communities on their journeys to wholeness through wholistic programming and therapeutic services focusing on environmental, mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual healing, wellness, and resiliency.

This specific project hopes to bring therapeutic services to clients in the form of mobile repurposed office space in "Skoolie" form. By doing this we aim to eliminate the access barrier of transportation for clients in need of mental wellness and resiliency services. This action is one small step, but  a catalyst in dismantling/structuring the current mental health service model and overarching system of inequity that currently exist in our society.

The Problem

The voices of BIPOC communities have intentionally been left out by medical and mental health services since their fields' foundations; creating inequity across the board in various forms like inclusivity in treatment solutions and knowledge and inaccessibility. This in turn has negatively impacted the quality of life and post-traumatic growth for these communities of folx. Our current mental wellness and resiliency service models have done more harm than good and the need for a new model has arisen. A model that best supports the healing of BIPOC folx and their communities through prioritizing their experiences and voices in the treatment process, honing in on mitigating historical trauma (centuries of denied/limited access to services), eliminating transportation as an access barrier and offering alternative therapeutic interventions at equitable rates. This is where Prayzeworthy steps in!

Our Solution

We offer Alternative Wholistic Wellness & Resiliency Services for BIPOC Individuals and Community organizations. All of our therapeutic and communal interventions are centered in best practices to support and empower BIPOC folx on their specific journeys to wholeness/healing. Some examples of our service offerings are expressive arts therapy, aromatouch therapy, aromatherapy, community based resiliency, EMDR, & other trauma-informed practices and more.This current project we are seeking funding for will allow us to address a pressing concerns for clients regarding transportation and a "safe place" to participate in the healing process. 

This project centers raising funds for scholarship, so clients do not bare all of the burden of cost for therapeutic services, and to convert a "Skoolie" into mobile and "safe" therapeutic space for their mental wellness and resiliency sessions. WE NEED YOUR HELP

Your funding will...

Support the acquisition and conversion of a 18-24 passenger bus, that will act as mobile healing space for clients receiving services. A bus will be upcycled and equipped with renewable fuel sources like solar paneling. The new converted bus is referred to as a "Skoolie." This mobility will allow us to take services to clients any and everywhere car travel is available.

Funds will also support scholarship funds for clients who have an inability to pay for needed services on their healing and resiliency journey.

Our Team

Our team is small, but mighty! We are a dynamic mother and daughter duo attempting to support our community using our experiences, education, and the gifts we've been given! Pictured on the Left is Denise Parker, MPA and Psy.D Candidate specializing in Community Organizational Wellness. On the right, is Soulliaa Rae, MSW, MS, MA specializing in Healing Arts surrounding individual and community mental wellness and resiliency.
