Project Description
Who We Are:
Other Kin is a collective and creative agency focused for healers by healers. We provide various tools, products and education to enhance our personal health, wellbeing and self sovereignty in an ever toxic, complicated and evolving world.
Co-founders Sharon Wong and Jen Adams saw a need to shake loose the stigma associated with holistic practice and to educate the mainstream in a way that supported the representation of small artisans. Other Kin also recognizes the need for community support and we endeavor to provide this service in a meaningful and compelling manner.
Our Ethos:
Our ethos are two-part.
The first is that we are a collective founded by healers for artisans who believe that the holistic and integrative tools, products and services they provide contribute to creating a healthier, better world through facilitating and supporting the wellbeing of the individual. We recognize that artisans sometimes need help to build their brand and grow their businesses, and here at Other Kin we believe in partnering with artisans to provide the tools to build their own businesses through the larger eco-system of the Other Kin marketplace. We believe in supporting, amplifying and creating equity for our young, our artists, our healers and our audiences.
The second part of Other Kins' ethos is to operate in an environmental and socio-economic circular structure. From how and what we source to develop our products and services to giving back to the communities who are also contributing to creating a healthier and better world in which we can live. Each one of our products will give a portion of sales back to an organization or community of the artisans choice.
Our Product:
We are launching our new premier product series focusing on the divinity arts. Our “choose your own healing” Tarot decks can provide specific and targeted areas of self growth and healing.
Inner Inked is the first of this Tarot collection that explores our inner child. It is traditional in tarot translation however, the adaptation is written from both the youth and elder perspective.
This is a complete deck of 78 cards in the traditional tarot format, with numbered cards and suits for the major and minor arcana. These cards are beautifully illustrated by Skyla Case, a young New York artist graduating from Masters School in Spring 2021. Skyla has been offered merit scholarships to 4 of the nation’s most prestigious art universities. Skyla has been drawing ever since she could remember and always felt that this was her calling. Skyla finds her happy place in grayscale utilizing combinations of graphite, ink, colored pencils and copics markers. Skyla Case, was chosen to illustrate and explore the inner child predominately due to the human age of the artist. Combining her connection to her inner child and her interpretations of the tarot ultimately produced illustrations that are raw, unrehearsed and delightful. We’re thrilled that Skyla is starting her career with Other Kin.
All funding from this campaign will go directly to the production of the first batch of the deck, packaging and mini booklet. Packages will be shipped out in June.

Thanks for shopping at Other Kin! To us, no order is complete until you are fully satisfied, this is why we want to make returns easy. If something isn’t quite right, you have 30 days to return the product. The items should be in perfect condition. We’ll give you a full refund by the same method you used to pay.
