Organize for Love Crowdfund Mission

We create products and services that “feel like therapy for your home” because there are far too many people who don't feel safe or have a sense of peace in their homes. 

And it’s more than just physical stuff. Especially for people of color- more specifically African Americans who face unique challenges to letting go of self-accumulated and external baggage. 

This is why in addition to professional home organizing services we want to help unpack the literal and figurative stuff Black Americans accumulate.

This is why we’re on a mission to expand the way Black women and families experience the freedom organization brings to their homes. Because there’s even much more for us to gain beyond clean, safe, peaceful homes.

The Problem

The fact that more than half of Americans are overwhelmed by the amount of clutter they have and 78% have no idea what to do with it is our starting point. 

In addition to the 3 things (lack of space, finding the time, and having too much stuff) that are keeping all Americans from improving their home's organization, African Americans also carry the 

  • Inability to let things go 
  • Home insecurity
  • Lack of representation within the professional organizing field
  • Access to professional organizing services
  • and being under-researched demographic relating to their home and stuff

This extra baggage impacts their overall well-being which not only keeps them from performing at their highest potential but ultimately disrupts contributing their best selves to their community.

The Opportunity
  • There aren’t any resources that center the Black experience around home. 
  • There are little to no studies on why and how African Americans accumulate things.
  • There are no home organization audibles talking about the home from a black lens. 
  • There are little to no safe spaces for African Americans to reflect and investigate what home means
  • There’s no collective conversation on how clutter, relocation, home ownership, and home insecurity has impacted African American families and communities
  • There’s no central or safe space where African Americans to be seen learn how to let go of all the things that no longer serve them

What we do
  • We offer holistic solutions to disorganization and clutter through our professional home organizing services which look at the entire person- why they specifically have too much stuff and address why they struggle to let it go.  
  • We serve as a mirror to our audience- sharing home organizing fundamentals through inspiring and actionable content on our platform
  • We’ve created a safe online space where our community can reflect together on home- shedding things, ideas, beliefs, and all things that no longer serve them

After working with us, our clients and audience feel more at ease, more creative, and happier in their space.

  • Sponsoring 1 family whose in need of transformative home-organizing services
  • Paying the photographer, book designer, and book editor for our coffee table book
  • Develop and host profitable and transformational wellness events each year to reach more families who need help in their spaces
  • Expanding our team to include a research department to conduct formal studies and learn more about the needs of our audience

We’re raising funds so we can reach more families and make a bigger impact and we need your help to do that. We want to reach 4,000 families every year and we’re doing that through our professional home-organizing services, coffee table book, and wellness events. All ways to help our audience get hands-on support, feel seen, and apply the necessary tools to organize and heal their homes.

When we feel safe, secure, and at ease in our home, we remove what is often the biggest culprit of our stress and anxiety- clutter. This gives us an opportunity to pursue our deepest desires which are almost always improving our communities. Without clutter, we'd be free to spend more time with loved ones, on our goals, and thriving rather than surviving.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: What type of products do you plan to create? A: The first product we're creating is a coffee table book as well as a yearly planner, journal, and photo albums just to name a few. 

Q: Is the book complete, when will it be released? A: The book is expected to be sent out Fall of 2023

Q: When will Homebody Adjacent start? A: This service will begin about two weeks after the campaign is over on November 11th, 2022. If you purchase Homebody Adjacent, you'll receive an email directly from Rebekah and the next steps to schedule your virtual audit. 

Q: When will Instant Homemaker start? A: This service will begin about two weeks after the campaign is over on November 11th, 2022. If you purchase Instant Homemaker, you'll be notified by email from Rebekah and the next steps to schedule virtual organizing session.

Q: When will THE Homebody Level Up? A: You'll be notified by email from Rebekah 1 month after the campaign is over on 11.11.22. We'll begin organizing your space after setting a schedule for your project. This schedule is created on your Kick Off Call. If you purchase THE Homebody Level Up, you'll receive an email 1 month after 11.11.22 to schedule your Kick Off Call. This is very important to note because projects are based on a first schedule/first serve system.

Q: How long does THE Homebody Level Up take? A: The length to complete organizing a space on average takes 3-14 days. However, each space is different and requires different things so the exact time to complete your space will be laid out on the Kick Off Call.
