Nurture Home! Workspace Build Out

Nurture-Home is a co-working space in NYC designed for families. We help parents foster a thriving work/life balance by providing on-site childcare, active community, and professional and parenting resources.

In 2019, we predicted that by 2020 43% of the workforce would be freelance or remote based on workforce trends. Today, 45% of the workforce in NYC work remotely. A Gartner survey of company leaders found that 80% plan to allow employees to work remotely at least part-time after the pandemic and 47% will allow employees to work from home full-time. 78% of CEOs agree that remote collaboration is here to stay.

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly highlighted the unique challenges working mothers face; as many families juggle remote schooling, and full-time work while struggling to maintain their mental and physical health.

Thousands of mothers had no other choice except to leave the workforce altogether, companies scrambled to add flex-time schedules, mental health, and childcare benefits, and bolster paid leave policies.

While remote work offers the flexibility and space many employees need to juggle their multiple responsibilities, for working families, a wide gap remains in terms of meaningful support to help balance the mental, emotional, and physical toll they carry.

We’re also pulling caregivers, moms especially, out of isolation and the looming threat of burnout by supporting them as individuals, parents, and professionals. Lastly, we're offering top-notch child-care that they can actually rely on. Their child’s needs will be met holistically with consistent, quality care and learning experiences. 

We have conducted the research, studied our target market, and we've designed and scaled a model that is sustainable and effective. We're POPPING UP in Long Island City and we're providing our members with the best space,  the best quality, and the best service to fit their needs. 

We are reaching out to OUR village for support and are raising funds to furnish and outfit our co-working space and children's room and to give us the jump start we need to get this thing up and running. 

Any amount you contribute, whether $50, $500, or $5000 will go a long way in creating a space for parents like us - for yourself, for your friends, your family members, and for amazing people you may never meet, but whose lives you will radically change.
