Project Description

Imagine that you are brain surgeon. Or you are brain surgeon. You have the MRI or CT of your patient.

1. PLAN .You will need to plan your surgery. In 2021- only looking at the 2D grey images and proceed to the surgery is overrated.  Do 3D rapid reconstructions to 3D colored tumor, vessels, structures  that you can rotate, manipulate  to analyze   relationships, to strategize  your approach  by  plotting craniotomies and manipulating trajectories.  Interact with  on your tablet or on your Augmented Reality AR  glasses.  Yes, video game level interface.  Well done: YOU HAVE JUST BUILT A  SURGICAL PLANNING.

2. You will need to show it INTERACT  ON IT  with your patient  - in your office, at her/his consultation.  On your tablet or AR glasses.

3. the surgery: now you will neuroNAVIGATEOn your tablet or AR glasses. The above  surgical planning projected on the head of the patient at the specific location of the tumor.  Start by marking your incision.  the device?  call it Augmented Reality  Image-guided Brainsurgery system.  This is one of our 3 products.

PIN as in plan-interact -navigate ;) is an Innovation Ecosystem to advance Brain Surgery  through affordable cutting-edge systems for surgical assistance, built by us, neurosurgeons  for neurosurgeons.

Our mission:

improve outcomes

democratize access to neuronavigation

increase adoption 3Dsurgical planning.

I am neurological surgeon, Mensa* and athlete.
I have built  PIN as probono ecosystem 2017-2020  with my friend Laurent Siquier Developer, Mensa* and with Michel Kalamarides, Professor neurological surgery -  targeting specifically unmet needs in surgical planning and neuronavigation. Based on my innovation ideas, on my recruitement and on monthly meetings. We are a multifield team of 10. In 2021 I am taking us to the next level: the  Startup.

I am CEO and the only founder full time.  My 3 cofounders are my Advisory Board: Tech, Med, Product.
The Startup: in launch, prefunding stage.  As Problem/Solution thematic category  Next-Gen Surgical.
The  products : med tech devices, of which 2 in preclinical prototype stage and 1 in conception stage.

On sabbatical since 1st January 2021 I am running the business, defining our business models,  building the products,  translating the team of 10  in the new frame  and getting us ready  for investors.  40-60 hours /week. I do love mainly our pitches and our traction roadmaps!  Anna Rowley, world renowned  executive coach and Advisory Board, is guiding me weekly towards a solid launch.

The launch process is more complex and longer than my initial projection. I have exhausted my savings. It is difficult right now, right here.

THIS CROWFUNDING  will allow  me to complete the launch of  PIN and to continue the roadmaps to MVPs - minimal viable products, until the first investors.

I  DO NEED  YOUR SUPPORT!  from 5$ to 20.000$, your choice. THANK YOU!

How  did  PIN happen?   THE STORY.

A tip?  racing, leading and building.!

The brainsurgeon and the athlete.

For those who know me as brain surgeon, you can confirm.  I have always engaged  with dedication for my patients  and with determination  for excellence. In the Departments where I have trained and practiced and in my collaborations. USA and France. Some of my mentors and collegues are saying I am talented.

As Spartan Race athlete, I have built and I am training  the team WE R MENSA. Individually or in team, racing  in the top 10%.

The breakthrough: the innovator in the perfect setup.

2017: my amazing Skull base Fellowship, on the team Pr Michel Kalamarides at Pitie-Salpetriere Hospital. 1day/week in parallel with my private practice at Hopital Europeen de Paris GVM.

The path translating my vision in products starts here., based on the synergy surgeon - developer.

I am  Expert "XR in surgery" for 3 years now. XR? extended reality = AR+ VR. 5 of my students at Paris University want to work for my company to be. BME Master Paris University on "AR/VR Module" https://www.bme-paris.com/ .

 A GLANCE AT OUR PRODUCTS

BTW prototypes built in less than 90 days.

1. Cranial Nerves Tracking  surgical planning Software for posterior and skullbase surgery

It is for  planning complex brainsurgery performed under microscope.

Imagine here the visualisation of " axons"  cranial nervesbased on Diffusion MRI.  That nobody obtains in less than 2:30 hours and with 3 people working on it. the brain surgeon alone can not do it alone.

While others are reviewing, us we are innovating. From scratch. On our software I am doing the tracking  alone, in seconds.

The "ultimate" target? the facial nerve compressed by the tumor. Target coveted for more than 10years.  For us work in progress , by deep learning algorithm.

2. AR IGBS system Augmented Reality  Image-guided Brainsurgery system

2 years ago "let's bring Augmented Reality in" came natural for me, the advanced user of Brainlab. This neuronavigation system is the main actor on the market and  needs heavy space occupying gear: display station, IR infrared camera.

P2 is a mobile system,  without any other gear, without any training needed. With us, surgeons looking directly to and precisely overlaying in AR the surgical planning onto the patient. The opposite of all present systems.

P2 is wanted under $15.000, 10-33times less than the present market.  For all Health  Care Systems-  low and middle  income countries  first. With the mission to contribute to "democratize" Neuronavigation and to advance neurosurgical care.

P3 MEMS* cable actuator resection system.

If you would ask me what I want as neurosurgeon  is that:   minimally invasive surgery = no bone flap  and real -time resection visualization /control.  And a connected  OR environment. CNS Congress of Neurological Surgeons 2020 had asked this also for 2045: my answer? Below.

Design by  Philippe, Mensa and me. Warning: This is  disruptive technology.  Glad to share it with you!

*MEMS =Micro-electro-mechanical systems. Size? 0.02 to 1.0mm.
