My name is Lauren Middleton-Pratt, aka Brandon's wife, Turner's mom and as of March 2017, co-founder of Nesty. In 2016, as a busy corporate professional and "nesting" momma-to-be, I found myself overwhelmed by the plentiful, yet underwhelming options for baby apparel (with tons of truck decals and bold colors) and "blah" baby essentials. As a first-time mom, I spent countless nights surfing the web for organic brands, designer baby clothes and modern-day essentials, had two showers and raided all of the closets of my stylish friends with baby boys! Alas, I still found myself leaving the hospital with my new bundle of joy asking myself, "do we have everything we need?" Luckliy we did! And to be totally transparent, I've also been the gift-giver...I show up at Target with a registry list of 300 items, no pictures and 20 minutes to shop...UGH!!!!
As my "push gift" Brandon gifted me the opportunity to invest in myself and together we funded and created a service that would take the guess work out of preparing for baby, with a stylish twist...Nesty was born. Nesty is a baby gifting service that curates minimalist baby apparel & innovative essentials and conveniently bundles them for expecting, new and experienced parents and gift-givers. Our personal style is reflected in the branding of the company. We love black & white...so much so our son's middle name is Grey! Designer and trending baby brands love our bundling idea and have partnered with us since the conception of the company; we are the service of choice for gift-givers; and new/experienced parents love our products!! That means...WE GOTTA GROW!
We are confident that moving forward with a new round of funding will take Nesty to the next level of exposure and help us to build the essence of a trusted luxury brand. We anticipate spending the funds on the newest season's designer apparel and replenishing our top selling essentials (inventory), upgrading our packaging (signature shipping box and gift wrap), creating a Lookbook and Nesty marketing materials and most importantly, hiring a marketing team that can help to gain national news coverage for Nesty (national/local magazines, national/local news shows, etc). We also aspire to partner with a non-profit organization to gift gently used Nesty collection items and other baby apparel and essentials. It is our mission to give back to a world that had been so generous to us! #alwaysnesting
