Natural Ash Body

Natural Ash is a collection of shea butter based natural skin care products that contain no chemicals or harmful preservatives.  All products are handcrafted by myself, Ashley Cummings, RN.  Currently, Natural Ash offers body butters with plans of expanding to face butters and lip balms.  Each product is made with the intention of providing a healthy skin care routine that promotes overall health for our bodies, both inside and out.  As the sole owner, I am responsible for making the product, fulfilling and shipping orders, maintaining the online store, managing the marketing and social media, financial management, maintaining inventory and materials, and constantly looking for ways to expand my business and continuing my education on skin care and overall health.  As a Registered Nurse, I have always had the joy of caring for others.  It is rewarding for me when I see a patient being discharged, or even walking again for the first time after becoming deconditioned after chemotherapy and other cancer treatments.  While working, I noticed the skin changes that one experiences as a side effect of chemotherapy.  It started to  make me think of skin care products on the market, and ones that are safe for both an Oncology patient and the general public.  I wanted to create a product that was safe for everyone to use, with the importance on the health and wellness of our skin.  Currently, my goal is to empower everyone through their skin.  Many people  experience skin conditions such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis.  Having a resource to learn about skin care, as well as connect with others is empowering. As a nurse, I feel empowered when I educate my patients on skin care.  In the same way, I use my medical skills to teach and empower those that have used my products, or simply interested in learning more. That is what Natural Ash promotes - healing of the skin, but with the entire body in mind.
