Mad Dog Ridiculous: A Female-Directed Sketch Show
Help me take my no-budget sketch show to the next level so that I can share my comedy with the world!
Project Description
Mad Dog Ridiculous is a sketch comedy show created and directed by Maddi Roy. Maddi is an LA-based comedian whose ultimate career goal is to have her own sketch show on TV. MDR is the foundation for this dream.
As of right now, MDR is a no-budget show made by unpaid writers and actors. But unpaid labor is uncool! Maddi desperately wants to pay her staff for the incredible work they produce, but she's currently earning a typical comedian's salary of $15/hr, so that's a no-go. All the equipment, props, etc. are also bought using money out of Maddi's own pocket, which means she eats rice for dinner a lot.
Please, good people, have pity on a young woman who just wants to make comedy and also afford meat. The more money that can be put into this show, the funnier it will be.

The Campaign FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: What are you going to do with the money?
A: First priority is equipment. We don't have any sound equipment right now, which sucks. There are a few other big things we need to knock out in order to make our show look and sound professional. Next, props and location funding for each show. Any money left over will be split up between the writing staff and the actors. If we get more money than expected, we'll also use some to promote the show on social media.
Q: What's your end goal?
A: Ultimately we are hoping to make MDR so high-quality and popular that it gets the attention of network and/or streaming service executives. We'd love to be able to have a real, fully-funded platform that can reach millions.
