Project Description
Little Scholars Childcare Center is a childcare facility that is committed to providing high quality child care while encouraging early learning skills, and education that best supports children outside of their home. At Little Scholars Childcare Center, there will be a structured yet flexible routine throughout the day and the curriculum will be child-centered. It will allow each child to develop at their own pace, providing a balance between child-initiated and adult-led activities.
While there are many childcare centers open, there are very few, if any that provide social services to the parents. It seems that society is stepping back from wanting to involve parents in their child's educational growth or worse yet the parent not wanting to be involved. But this could be simply because they are not sure how to be involved. As everything is becoming a social issue, we need to help parents address their child's social needs. Some of the things that Little Scholars Childcare Center will be offering are parenting courses, help with resume building, digital job searches and free food and clothing pantries. Children find it easier to succeed when their family unit is strong. For this reason, Little Scholars will provide support the low-income households or any enrolled parent in need of help.
I have more than 15 years of experience in the childcare industry and has worked vigorously to provide care for all children regardless of race, gender, or economic status. I have taught in the elementary school setting since 2005. I also have my Masters in Social Work and have worked tirelessly to develop a Childcare Center, which will operate under the philosophy that children need to be treated with warmth & respect. The children served by Little Scholars Childcare Center will be surrounded by experiences that will foster physical, social, academic, emotional, and cognitive growth.
